Yes.. the carpaccio doesn't look much like a carpaccio, I agree. The slices are massive! Nearly everything else looks totally to die for, though. I need to try poutine soon. Heard so many good things about it over the years.

You are the boss of food tours Lannie. Another one I’m sure I’ll enjoy. Don’t think I even know what poutine was before, but I could give that one a home for sure. Shame the duck wasn’t great, it’s one of my faves. But your right not everywhere gets it spot on.

Wow, I hope there was lots of walking involved between each course, Lannie! 😀 I don't know if I'll ever make it to Montreal, but if I do, I'll definitely use this post as a local food guide.

Yum! All the food looks so good but that carrot cake really grabs my attention! I’ve never been to Montreal but I know what I’ll be doing when I go. I love how they used an old bank and nunnery for restaurants. When I lived in NYC I loved going to this one bar in an old bank vault. Such a cool way to keep historic sites.

I love bagels with fresh smoked salmon and cream cheese. Never thought to add veggies to it though. I'd visit Bistro-Brasserie Les Soeurs for the beers and agree with you that duck can be hard dish to get right.

I love how you included a map of all your stops! The poutine is definitely a bucketlist thing to try. The duck carpaccio sounded like a great idea - sad to read that it wasn't as good as expected.

I love poutine! It's the perfect meal for winter days in Montreal. I haven't had the bread pudding, so I definitely need to make a trip back to Montreal just for that.
