In reply to Maartje Wessels. Hello! Yes you will have to go through security and customs, because this hotel is on the airport property, but outside the terminal. As in, you do have to breathe fresh air to get there! For me, as my flight was booked on one ticket, there was the option to re-check my bag after I exited immigration and customs (my next flight was the following morning) so that option does exist. But I just took my bags with me to rearrange my luggage. Hope that helps!

Hi, quick question I do not seem to be able to find anywhere. I have a lay-over from Geneva to Bermuda in JFK. I want to stay at the TWA. Do I go through the whole security (usually it takes hours at JFK) and customs and do the same thing in the morning? Do I pick up luggage or is it labeled through? And do I just bring hand luggage? Probably, just want to make sure? Thanks!!

This is great info to have on TWA Hotel. Haven’t had to do a layover in New York yet, but might if I make it back to the US before all the international flights are up and running again. Honestly I’m surprised the airport hotel is so nice, given my experiences at JFK Airport itself!

Love the design. That picture of Connie from the Lounge.. amazing stuff, and yes, that tubular hallway reminds me of Catch Me If You Can too. The price seems very fair for what you get, despite the soso views.

How handy that you can pretty much roll off the plane and be at a lovely looking hotel! Loving the retro look, a definite catch me if you can vibe.

In reply to thethoroughtripper. I know! A great price for NYC + an airport hotel! In fairness, I think it was due to COVID times. I’m not sure what the regular priced rooms are. But it was fun nonetheless. And super convenient :)

Sounds like a great experience – I had a pleasantly surprising stayover at the Hilton in ORD a couple of weeks ago. So convenient but nowhere near as stylish as this! I’d love to have drinks in Connie! Plus, your photo booth pics are adorable!!

I love this retro TWA hotel and that tubular tunnel especially. Love the convenience of airport hotels especially after trans-Atlantic flights if when I have a super early flight.
