I am an ardent admirer of Van Gogh like the millions of his fans the world over. But the story about an argument between Van Gogh and his friend Paul Gauguin, and cutting of his own ear by the former is what I have come across for the first time. Thanks for all the beautiful things you have presented about the famous painter.

I also love both impressionism and post impressionism! Van Gogh is truly an expressive artist – one really can’t deny that! 🙂

In reply to Jen Nilsson. it was lovely and quite somber. I can imagine he had some rough days and nights there. but generally he had a very prolific life! Someone up in the thread said he completed 900 works during his lifetime!

In reply to Carina | bucketlist2life. ahh yes. the time slots gets a lot of people! the very first time i was in amsterdam, I had to go and i booked tickets in advanced. but that trip, i missed the anne frank museum. so now I usually try to book everything in advance!
