If I remember correctly I saw Monet’s work in Albertina Museum in Vienna. I really loved them. It would be nice to visit his home. Thanks for this article!

Monet is one of my favourite artists so I love this post. There was an exhibition of his work (and other Impressionists) in Edinburgh a few years ago which I visited several times! I definitely want to make this visit to Giverny and find out more about the man behind the art.

I’m learning so much about different artists from you, Lannie! I have heard of Giverny, but never knew it was Monet’s home for decades. The inspiration from Japanese art and gardens is interesting especially since he hadn’t been to Japan.

I don’t consider myself an art person, but I also love the idea of visiting places where famous painters lived and see the places that inspired some of the famous paintings. Would love to visit Giverny one day, looks like a great idea for a one day trip from Paris .

Great article, Lannie! Monet is one of my mother’s favorite painters. So, when they visited me while I was studying abroad in Paris, we had to make a trip to Giverny. We enjoyed it and it was an easy trip from Paris!

What a beautiful garden! I can see how it was an inspiration to Monet for years. Receiving a painting as a gift from Cezanne or Renoir doesn’t sound too bad either.
