Half a kilo of crab claws for £12.50?! That has my name written all over it, Lannie. Of course I also remember all your tweets about the famous Glenegedale House on your little island. Would love to listen to all the stories behind the food, which Emma and Graeme share with customers. Eating while on a boat with Islay Sea Adventures is another thing I’ll have to try some day. Those scallops look amazing and hearing how they are being prepared made me think I don’t have to cook them with pancetta, olive oil, salt, pepper, and parsley every single time.

How I wish I had this list when I visited Scotland years ago! You discovered some real gems, Lannie. The Grand Platter at Oban Seafood Hut looks incredible. If I ever have the opportunity to visit Scotland again, your list of recommendations is coming with me.

If you want the freshest seafood in Scotland, visit the cafe at Namara Seafoods in the Outer Hebrides. Straight off the boat and into the cafe! Also don’t miss their smoked scallops, quite possibly the best thing I ate last year. https://www.namaraseafoods.co.uk/cafe-pier
